Shopping: Antique Farm House

I have a serious love/hate relationship with all of those deal of the day websites. Sometimes the deals are FABULOUS and just what I need… But more often than not they are shopping distractions from work which lead to credit card bills I later regret. Yes, the item is 85% off, but do I really need a membership to the fancy gym that’s 30 miles from my house? Probably not. But back to the love part… I recently stumbled across a site called Antique Farm House that not only has some crazy cool pieces, but they are super

Shabby Chic Bedside Tables

Oh how I love new furniture purchases, and this one is especially exciting because it’s a a custom piece! Back in May I recieved a gift card from my bridal shower (thanks!) to a very cool furniture store in my neighborhood called Bella Decor. But when I finally was ready to use it, I got to the store to find out they had closed!! BOO!! Well fortunately their sister store Sunshine Lucy’s which is just a town over would accept their gift cards, so off Tony and I went to spend our “free” money.

Makeover: Bed Edition

So I totally go through “room phases” where I focus on one part of the house for a few weeks, adding decor or just rearranging things with stuff I already have (preference). Right now I’m on a bedroom kick! A few posts back I talked about our new bed coverlet and my attempt to use a West Elm gift card to complete the look. Well, mission accomplished! I’m not a huge fan of purchasing a comforter/duvet’s matching pillow shams because when you have a bold pattern on the bed, sometimes the shams are overkill. So I

West Elm Love

Thank you Citicard (and Tony and my recent flight purchases) for providing me with enough points to score home decor gift cards. This month, I’m heading to West Elm to pick up some goodies with my new found money. I popped in the other day for a little “pre shop”. Yes, I do that sometimes. Don’t judge 😉 I didn’t have the gift card yet, but I went in to check out the inventory. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I have cash or a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. Anyone know what I mean? It’s

My New Buffet

I’m SUPER excited to share with you my newest home purchase… And not sure what I’m more excited about – the piece or the price tag!!! Ok, I’m getting ahead of myself here. Let’s start with a little back story… So I’ve been on a major hunt for some type of storage piece for our dining room. We have a decent sized room with a free wall – and a growing collection of kitchen items (thank you wedding registry!). Well I started with my usual online shopping (for inspiration) and decided to limit the search to “sideboards”and “buffets”. I also

Brimfield Antique Show

This past Tuesday I took the day off from work to head to the tri-annual Brimfield Antique show with my friend Cooper and her mom… And it was FAB-U-LOUS!!! We started super early (left the house at 6am) so we could get there before the crowds…. and good thing because this fair is HUGE! We were there for about 6 hours, and just covered a fraction of the show. Of course I took along a camera so you could all get a little taste of the fair… but I highly recommend checking it out yourself! The fair has

Calypso for Target!

Huge thanks to Cooper for this post, as she alerted me to the launch of Calypso for Target on Sunday! Now it just so happened that Tony and I were heading to Target anyway to buy some outdoor furniture for our back porch (stay tuned for a post!), so I got to check out the new line in person! Ok first, a little background… Calypso St. Barths is a fantastic boutique/online store that is known for it’s “effortless look” resortwear. While they have a stellar collection of tropical vacation outfits, they also have a drool over
