Dress me please

I am grateful every day for one special room in our house, and that is my closet. I struck shopaholic gold when we found this house, as I now have my very own walk in closet which means lot’s of room for NEW CLOTHES! Mind you, I went from sharing a small closet with my son, in a room down the hall from my bedroom, so the bar was set pretty low — but still, I smile every day because of it. Now what’s funny is that since getting this fabulous closet, I now have no time or energy to

Wood paneling makin’ a come back!

Last weekend I had a long overdue opportunity to browse through one of my favorite home decor shops, West Elm, and stumbled upon something very cool, and now very much on my wish list. Have you seen their Stickwood Adhesive Wood Paneling? They come in a variety of woods and finishes, but the weathered wood option is by far my favorite. via So. Freakin. Cool. Tony suggested we use it to cover the two panels on either side of the living room TV, and I love the idea so much, I”m kinda pissed I didn’t think

We did it again…

I need to come clean. I kiiinda bought another living room rug. Ok, not kinda. I really did. I think I might have a problem [See previous post here on our musical rug situation]. But this one is totally justifiable… hear me out, okay? I was practically forced to buy a new rug, for two reasons… First – My husband said the current rug made him dizzy. No joke. And this has been backed up by numerous house guests (Did he pay them off? Possibly.) But I kind of saw his point as the herringbone pattern looks

Time to get your shopping on

Anyone else out there hate going to the mall to shop for holiday gifts? Don’t get me wrong, I love me some mall time, but I can’t stand the crowds – so online shopping is my savior! And I’m super excited to tell you about a new photo gift website that Staples just launched called create.staples.com. It’s similar to some of the other photo gift websites, but what I love about this site is that you can upload your pictures straight from your Facebook or Instagram account — because let’s get real, do you keep your pictures anywhere

Fancy Pants Fridge

I’ve expressed my love of seltzer before on the blog, so it’s no surprise that I’m obsessed with the new Samsung refrigerator. Why? It has a freakin’ built in seltzer disposal!!! Don’t worry Mr. Soda Stream… at close to $4k for a unit, I won’t be replacing you any time soon. But a girl can dream, eh?

Fun with Knobs

I love quick and easy projects that have big impact. Ikea dresser/changing table before… Ikea dresser/changing table after a trip to Anthropologie! When you don’t spend a lot on the dresser, you can justify the splurge on the knobs I decided to mix and match a bit with their Singular Bloom Knobs I’m sure baby will greatly appreciate the decor effort 😉

Craft Product: Silhouette

First off, that word is really hard to spell. Second, does anyone have a Silhouette machine? Third, do I need one??? This thing seems pretty bad a$$. It’s basically an electronic cutting tool that can create almost anything you can design on your computer. And not just on paper! According to their website, you can use it to cut vinyl, cardstock, fabric, heat transfer material, and more. It’s definitely an investment, with their two models ranging from $199-$299. So my question to those who have it…. Do you use it enough to make it worthwhile? Or

What’s the Deal with Deal of the Day?

I will admit it. I subscribe to way too many of those deal of the day websites, and while I am not ready to be booked into the shopper’s anonymous club just yet, I occasionally have trouble fighting the temptation to buy that ridiculous item because the deal is just “too good to pass up!”. Well, that’s about to change. Yesterday on one of my deal of the day sites MyHabit (which I happen to be particularly fond of) listed an ottoman that I thought looked reeeeally familiar…   On MyHabit, it was listed for $135

Product Review: Windex Touch Up Cleaner

Occasionally I get totally suckered in by an ad, and this weekend I succumbed to the new Windex touch Up Cleaner. See for me, cleaning is like going to the gym… It needs to happen routinely for me to do it, it needs to be convenient, and while I hate doing it, I always feel better once it’s one. So I thought this new counter-style Windex spray was pretty cool, because you don’t need to pull it out or even bend over to use it. Could you get any lazier? The ad says “Just Dab it.
