March 29th, 2013 What do ya know, Pinterest and the blogosphere are all over the easter egg decor right now! And it’s no longer just about dipping your egg in food coloring. It seems like there is no limit with what you can do with an egg! Some of these ideas could be used long after the holiday is over, as colorful spring table centerpieces or mantle displays… Here are some of my favorites! Sources: Gold Eggs | Black & White | Washi Tape | Photo Eggs | Marker Eggs So how do you DIY for the

December 25th, 2012 On this 25th Day of December, I thought I’d take a moment to share with you my own Christmas story. Growing up Jewish, December to me meant lighting the menorah and eating my mom’s amazing latkes and matzoh ball soup, and playing dreidel for those highly coveted (yet a little disgusting) pieces of gold foil wrapped chocolate gelt. And while I truly loved our family’s Hanukkah traditions, as I grew older and became more aware of how much Christmas monopolized the month of December, I would be lying if I said there were never times when I felt a little left out.

December 19th, 2012 My sincerest apologies for my lack of posts lately! This time of year is always a whirlwind, and so sadly HFoP has taken a back seat. I anticipate the next few weeks will be slow with posts, but I promise to be back to my regular 3x/week post schedule as soon as I can! In the meantime, I’ll do my best to keep you updated with major house and DIY projects. Tony and I have been discussing an office redo, so stay tuned…. ************* So this past month my reoccurring line had been “Hey Friends! I’m collecting empty wine bottles!!!!”

December 12th, 2012 Got your attention? As I mentioned Monday, I love decorating with holiday neutral colors this time of year, and whether or not you celebrate Christmas, ornaments are fabulous (and often inexpensive) decor items. Go on and decorate your tree or even your mantle this year with some gold and silver balls ornaments! 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

December 10th, 2012 As a multi-holiday celebrator this time of year, I tend to stay away from the commercialized “Christmas colors”. Holidays aside, red and green have never been popular colors in my personal pallet, so instead I opt for more holiday neutral colors. Think metallic golds and silver, and you can never go wrong with winter white! Fortunately gifts in these colors are abundant this time of year. So let’s play, shall we? Our dog Roxy recently ate part of our hat bin (don’t ask) so in my search for a replacement I found this adorable white and gold storage bucket. Fill it with your hats

December 7th, 2012 Who says you gotta spend big to make a big impact? Sometimes it’s the little things that leave the most lasting impression. These gifts all cost under $50 so they won’t break the bank but will surely make someone real happy this season. *********** This first idea might take a little snooping but well worth the final product. And starting at only $25, you can’t go wrong! Prinstagram will take between 50-400 of your Instagram images (which you select of course) and will arrange them into a nice clean grid, and print on fancy archival paper. Fill the
