So apparently I talked a little too much game with all of my “I rock at finding deals on Craigslist” posts, because for the past two months I have been totally unsucessful at finding chairs to go with our new farmhouse table and bench. Not only has there been little inventory to meet my specific needs, but the few chairs that I had liked were either way overpriced, or I didn’t hear back from the seller.
What gives, Craig?
Realizing that we would never again have dinner guests (because no one likes to stand for three course meals) I had a moment of weakness and considered - dare I say it – buying new chairs (ghaaaa!!!). New furniture, especially to go with our vintage pieces is so not my style but c’mon, I was getting desperate!
Well good thing, because I think I scored – BIG TIME!
So I had been looking for square backed white chairs with dark brown wood seats (another reason why Craigslist had slim pickins) and finally found the perfect set on Wayfair.com. I was even ready to spend “the big bucks” (i.e. full price) and had them in my shopping cart, ready to pull the trigger…. When I noticed this tiny little link that said “clearance”. Well turns out they had 3 in stock for half price. HALF PRICE PEOPLE! They were a returned set of chairs, but had been inspected for damages and got the A OK.
Click – Swipe – MINE!
So for only – ready for this – $37 a chair, I got these beauties!!!
$37!!! That’s INSANE!
Have you ever had a “shopping high”? That amazing elated feeling you get when you just got a great deal on the perfect item? Yeah, I’m totally there right now as I write this post. I have to seriously hold myself back from using multiple exclamation points after every sentence.
Now the hardest part is waiting for them to arrive, but I can’t wait to show you the room once everything is here!!!! ←Sorry couldn’t resist that one
