First a quick shout out to all of my New England friends, and others who have been impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Thinking of you all, and hoping you’re staying safe!!!

And now…. Halle-freakin-lujah… The 2012 Cleanse is over!!!
Rachel, Mary, Kelly, Anna, Joanna, Jackie, Katie, Angie and Ruth… CONGRATULATIONS!!! You completed the 2012 Cleanse Challenge!
And even if you weren’t 100% successful with the absolute no shopping rule, being mindful and really thoughtful about your spending is an achievement in itself so way to go.
And now I must confess, I was soooooooo close to being a true Cleanser, but did make 1 purchase yesterday (10/30). Eeeek I’m sorry! I’m totally filled with guilt so need to come clean. The reason? I have been looking to buy a treadmill forever, and found an incredible deal on Craigslist that unfortunately wouldn’t wait for November 1 to pick up. SORRY FRIENDS!!! But I figure this purchase serves as a proactive Cleanse for the eminent holiday binging fest…. Right? Right??? ![]()
Please know I am so proud of you all, and even more, I’m so happy to have had some buddies to share the experience with. Let me know how it went in the comments below!
Congrats again ladies, and remember to ease back in slowly

I did really well for the first 20 days, but I do have to come clean. I bought a pair of boots on sale at Aldo for $65. It was a deal I could not pass up, and I’ve been wanting new fall boots. Other than that one purchase, I am quite proud of myself and now I have money saved up for our move to Chicago next week. I am now cutting myself off from clothes shopping until I find a new job. Thanks for the idea. I didn’t realize how hard it would be. I’ll def end up using some of your other ideas for the new apartment as well.
