Hi Friends! I’m going to be taking a little blogging break so I can catch my breath a bit. But I’ll be back in September with some exciting posts, including a fabulous Etsy shop feature, and another Link Up – this time open to anyone who uses Pinterest!
But before I go, here are a few pictures from our camping weekend! We camped at Munns Ferry in Gill, MA (more info HERE) and I highly recommend it! But fair warning: There is no running water or indoor bathrooms so be prepared to become one with nature
We had the entire campsite to ourselves, and it was boat access only which meant we needed to bring everything with us! No emergency TP trips allowed!

We had a pontoon (party boat!!!) and a motorboat. The perfect pair. Oh and a tube named Big Bertha. No lie.
Even with 6 tents, there was plenty of room so we could really spread out. Tony and my tent is to the right. We were definitely the minimalists of the group!
Over the bridge (and through the woods) was not grandma’s house, but the cooking area with an Adirondack shelter. This turned out to be a life savor since it poured the first night. Not to worry, we loaded our chairs onto the enclosed (and covered) platform, ate dinner, and drank our weight in bud light
Funny: There were 10 of us, and I’m pretty sure we had 8 coolers!
The meat grilling duo.
Who were such troopers!
So one of my favorite things about camping is the challenge of making due with what you have. Pots and Pans? Nope, kinda forgot those (oops!). So to the left is our corn soaking in river water in a clean kitty litter bucket (before being grilled), and to the right are beer can scrambled eggs. While neither of these sound delicious, I can’t even tell you how well they both came out!
And it wasn’t all eating and rain. Fortunately the rain cleared up on Saturday and we had the most beautiful day on the river! Water skiing, tubing, and just lounging in the Connecticut river. BLISS!
This was definitely one of my most favorite weekends this summer. And while I love our home (so much so that I blog about it!) there is something really special about sleeping outside in a tent under the stars.

Apparently head lamps are super in this year
Enjoy these last few days of August, and catch you in a few!
xoxo
