Summer is HERE people! Man, it feels like yesterday we were burried in snow… and then all of the sudden I’m digging out the flip flops and summer dresses.
What happened?
Don’t answer that. I couldn’t be happier about this!
Well I don’t know about you, but all I want to do is be outside right now. Whether I’m working, reading, eating, exercising… its so much better with the sun shining down on you.
So this next series of posts are all going to be about your outdoor decor. C’mon, we can’t forget about the OUTSIDE of our homes! You don’t need much land (apartment dwellers welcome!) and so it can be a super cheap, and fun area to decorate.
We’re going to start this series off with lighting.
A few weeks ago, I picked up this fabulous set of lanterns at Pier 1 (only $16!). I loved their Moroccan feel, and what’s even better is that you can fill them with citronella tea light candles, so not only do they look cute, but they keep away the mosquitos.
And here they are in action at night! Oooh la la!
Like the lantern look? Great, because there are so many affordable ways to do it up, lantern style!

Another favorite of mine is dare I say it…. Christmas lights! No seriously, these can be gorgeous in the right setting!
